I love Google Analytics. They show me a pretty impressive breakdown of traffic to my site. Where it comes from, how many visitors (not bloody enough!), what countries, what source etc. Everything. I have noticed that when I post something quite deep and meaningful I get a fairly large spike in visits. Interestingly, the Friday Stoke does not produce the same sort of stoke amongst visitors as the more serious stuff. Should I dump the Friday Stoke? I don't think I can! I love these posts! I do spend far too long searching for just the right one, but I make damn sure it gives me a nice feeling and hope that it gives those who take the time to watch it the same. Today's is no different. No explanation necessary, except to say, for more like this visit .
Next week, some more exciting Expedition School news (stuff to giveaway!) and it's time to start dropping hints on the next big expedition!

Keep the stoke! It sets me up for the weekend either in a mellow way or in a hardcore lets go out and grab the moment kind of way.
I’m off to the Lake District this weekend and sitting in work counting down the hours ‘the Friday Stoke’ reminds of what its all about at the end of the day.
Keep it going please.

‘Lo Mark. Yep, keep the stoke. Only new to your blog, but it sure as hell motived ME to get off my butt and do something worthwhile. -Ron
I loved this one Mark – I like to think I would try it too!
Yeh, I reckon Friday Stoke has to stay. Life can’t all be so serious! James, how did you go in the Lake District?
Ron, glad to hear it mate!
Donna – well give it a go then!
Mmmmmmmmm
Blog posts are like expeditions (you know this is going to be deep)…
The ones that are purely for fun might not get the same attention as the ones with lofty aspirations, but that doesn’t make them any less worthy.
Keep up the fun stuff mate!
You are right Timmy. Cannot always be deep and insightful! Sometimes it is just for fun!

Hi Mark
.
I had a great week in the Lake District, thanks for asking. I hiked many peaks I had never done before and scared myself just enough on some occasions. In fact I got so (over stoked) that I went Mountain Biking on the last day at Whinlatter on a difficult trail and crashed and fractured a couple of ribs, (no really!). I’m still smiling though and can’t wait to get back to the great outdoors again, just as soon as I recover
Oh jeez James! Steady on! Hope you heal up soon enough so you can get back out there!
